‘I’d have given both legs … and what’s left of my heart’

Here’s a group that’s NOT at Music Midtown this weekend, playing a type of music that as far as I can tell is also NOT at Music Midtown this weekend.

Which is why I will NOT be at Music Midtown this weekend.

Well, that and $125. Have a great weekend y’all!

Bill - "but talk common sense instead"

Bill, if you really believe that, then I sincerely hope you're not old enough to vote.

Its been a pleasure.

Yours.

It might be worth it if  Sean Hannity, Toby Keith, Ted Nugent, Herman Cain, Banks and Shane, Neal Boortz, KISS and Florida-Georgia Line show up on stage. "Bill are you crazy? Music Midtown would never have those people plus guys who don't sing, but talk common sense instead," you libs will say. My reply, "Sit down, shut up and listen to real music and Real Men who WILL tell you The Truth!". Otherwise, Music Midtown is a cesspool of secular-progressiveness, drugs, drink and debauchery. Good night. Amen, Bill

Cupofjoe - "he could liquidate the obese wealth of the Vatican right now"

Not now, not ever, never will that happen.

Money tops everything, including friends, family and church.

You have to love when the head of one of the largest hedge funds in the world comes to NA and preaches we should do more for the poor.  He could liquidate the obese wealth of the Vatican right now and go a long way to eradicate poverty but it is better to chastise others and reserve the wealth for future church scandals.

My condolences to Paul for the loss of your father.  That is always hard, whatever the age.

My condolences for the recent loss of your dog, Tom.  I know how much your dogs have been your family in your life of late. Time heals.  The spirit remains, as you know.

How kind, Mary Elizabeth, but I have three more and they all "sing" to my harmonica, learning how from Boo.  Maybe I should do a WAV of them singing as a trio, maybe at Christmas time. "Bark The Herald" maybe?  On second thought, maybe not.  :-)

Yes, I remember you had said how much your 4 dogs meant to you and I understand your loss from Boo's passing brings sadness but sweet memories, too.

I'll look forward to your, "Bark, the Herald," tape of them all barking as you strum the melody on your guitar (or harmonica) on Bookman's blog!  Peace, Tom.

Best wishes, Mary Elizabeth

The picture was taken just after he'd been neutered, and since he was going around looking for them everywhere, I had to get him the big ball to compensate. I also think that was about the time he started "singing."  Wonder if they did that to Pavarotti?

The Deslondes fit in that place with Hurray for the Riff Raff - it's not entirely a new genre yet, but working in that direction.

Just in case it was not obvious to some, my remarks to Jay were meant to be playful, not cutting.  I sincerely wish all a great weekend, including Jay and his family, even if they don't go to Music Midtown!  ;-)

Met Mrs JeffreyEAV at Music Midtown 1999. Proposed at the Star Bar two months later. 15 years of marriage and twins as perfect as the Mrs. Music changes lives. Agree with Jay. It shouldn't cost so much and spotlight the tired and old.

That's awesome! I love driving in from the burbs to enjoy the authentic music scene in LFP. The Star Bar is awesome! Haha! Dirty, smelly, and and smokey -- old school! Hang on to her. Jackpot. :-)

I was having an afternoon beer at the Star Bat in 1994 when Big Mike Geier was telling the bartender about his new band Kingsized. It was the height of grunge and he was talking about Sinatra and Vegas Elvis. I rolled my eyes. Kingsized played our wedding.

No doubt.......... Bruno also played some good tunes.

Some times it is good but its heyday has passed on

That's one of the things I liked about FNM.  People could lob at each other all day long, come here, all was forgotten and it was the music.

Maybe Boehner could hold sessions and do a version of FNM.  Nothing else works with that caucus of his.

@TBS @Paul42 "heyday has passed on"

If we raise it up, it can still be the heydey it could be. (or it could be the blog software changes make it less appealing for those who contributed)
