A light blogging schedule

I know I picked a helluva time to do this, but I’m scheduled for a vacation this week.
That said, if I get a chance to weigh in on the terror attacks and where we go from here in attacking ISIS, I will do so.

The Republicans work up the lynch mobs and then want to fry Obama for not buying into the hysteria.  That damn sheriff with his shotgun in front of the jail, must be a sissy, no guts to see a man hang.  O has real guts, when you grow up you will appreciate that.

I am amazed American stay as focus on the truth as they do, somewhere in the soul there is a tradition of knowing the principles of the country gets us home and one principle is factual truth.  Trump will disappear after the fun of the entertainment disappears and a sober moment is taken, the coffee shops get tired of loose gossip and some fresh air gets into the smell of profit, this is a great country despite the use car salesmen.

When you make up "facts" to fill a racist narrative, it's racist...and it's not hard to put together that Donald Trumps is a racist POS after this weekend.  Let the Republicans nominate him he is not going to win, America does not elect racist Presidents anymore.

@StraightNoChaser and he has done damage already, he allows for a cake walk on the left that is not good for the country.  We need a sober discussion on this matter and we are getting clowns, which does not extend the left to think either, they win by default.

News had to compete with shallow entertainment.  They are forced to make reality a reality show. Add to that the social outlets who have no allegiance to the truth and you have an American population who makes Paris look like Pearl Harbor.

CNN and most news outlets get a bump in profits during this time, and they don't get it for reporting good news.  Desert Storm is still the highest ratings CNN ever had. Brian Williams was fired trying to keep up with the Jones of network news.

And for the record I'm not for boots on the ground in Syria and don't think Obama has done a great job dealing with the many facets of this issue

However if Congress is as serious as they claim then let's have that vote

I think we all know it isn't going to occur... At least not in the near future

The profit of the right off of bad news is the gorilla in the room.  No good news helps them, panic in the street is their friend.  They are so tied to terrorism they pass this torch to their groupies like a preacher telling his flock of hell and damnation.  If America prospers the right and the terrorist are not happy, that is a hell of an alliance.

The Repubs as a whole in congress as well as several Dems are talking a big game regarding ISIS.

Where is the resolution? Granted some of these people have genuine concern about terrorism but if politics wasn't in play, to a large degree, why not a resolution?

What exactly are they wanting the POTUS to do?

If any of these things would be aided by a resolution then why not get it to Obama then press him for action

I used to think gotalife was going overboard with his talk about a resolution but he was right on the money

These folks in congress are just running their mouths

And it is easy to see who on the blog is buying into it

@TBS "What exactly are they wanting the POTUS to do?"

To be a leader?

and if the best the RW has is "you Democrats didn't stop us from invading the wrong country in 2003" to address foreign policy issues of today, I guess it's time to bail again, for awhile.

I just cannot figure out why conservatives warn against the dangers of doing for others what they won't do for themselves when it comes to social programs, but when it comes to war, they cannot wait to take over and do for others what they will not do for themselves.

@JamVet @JohnnyReb - it wasn't a lie.  Did you watch the video?

Can you truthfully say that Trumps was not giving answers to illegal immigration from Mexico?

Afterward, Trump said he did not put forth the Muslim idea, the reporter did, which is true.

Trump however has taken it and run with it.

Thus my post on Trump's latest remarks making you guys bleed.

@JohnnyReb have you ever read a real newspaper like the NY Times or do you read these small circulation rags to get what you want the world to be, like plastic surgery for your mind.

JohnnyReb
JohnnyReb

@Peachs @JohnnyReb - the video in the link, Peachs.  Try to keep up.

You and your Lefty buddies keep stating Iraq was not stable when taken over by O.

Visual_Cortex

J-Reb, we've been over the Biden and Obama rhetoric on Iraq dozens of times here. I'm not going to relitigate the efficacy of an Administration saying nice things about the troops on their way out of a meat grinder.

@Peachs @JohnnyReb

Oh, I'm sure he (and most of the conservatives here) think they read the NYTimes, because now and again Drudge or some other rightwing "news" amalgamator will link to a story there. Mainly so the RW can crow "EVEN the NY Times... [blah, blah]"

@JohnnyReb

Still not willing to fess up to your lie from the other day vis a vis...?

Trump wants to keep a database on Muslims. ~fedup52

no he doesn't.

You have fallen for some Lap Media reporting where Trump was talking about the wall and illegal immigration from Mexico when a reporter switched the question to Muslims and Trump did not know.

Trump was talking about illegal immigrants, not Muslims. ~JohnnyReb

I still think 'conservative' is inaccurate and demeans traditional conservatives.

England used to have a "Screaming Loonies" party.  That sounds like a better choice.

@Visual_Cortex - you guys have an excuse for everything.

What's the excuse for the latest IS attacks?

It's pretty obvious the not-so-nuanced nuances of state diplomacy elude him.

@JamVet @JohnnyReb

Amazing.  My brother-in-law posted the same on Facebook.  Exact same.

I posted the exchanges with reporters debunking that.

The post came down real fast.

@JohnnyReb @Visual_Cortex

J-Reb, these "attacks" are just organized thuggery, something any group of a coupla dozen or so bad guys of any race, gender, creed or whatever, could do at any time.

We don't have to re-align our sense of national purpose because a country we're fond of took this kind of hit, from this kind of group. Stop pretending they're something they're not.

JohnnyReb
JohnnyReb

@JamVet @JohnnyReb @Peachs - so you are saying Obama pulled all the troops out of Iraq with it not being stable and ISIS moving in?

Nice try, but your attempts are ridiculous.

JohnnyReb
JohnnyReb

@Visual_Cortex @JohnnyReb - realign national purpose, huh?

Your champion is trying to do that and the majority is having non of it.

You can continue to support him and that position if you like, but in the end you will look very foolish.  Maybe even be sorry.

@JamVet I wonder who has the government contract on this kind of stuff, lay odds they are Republican coffin and flag makers who like many profit when American blood is spilled.

@JohnnyReb

Leave National Security to Republicans.

Like invading a country that didn't attack us?

No.

@Kamchak @JohnnyReb

I'm sure there's been some international foreign policy business that the GOP handled demonstrably better than a Democratic one.

I just can't think of any.

(and if anyone's dumb enough to play the "444" card, I will smite you.)

td1234

@Kamchak @JohnnyReb Tell that to Clinton, Biden, Kerry, DiFi, Boxer and all the other Democrats in the US Senate that voted to give GWB the authorization to take out Saddam.

@td1234 @Kamchak @JohnnyReb

OK, when you tell it to the majority of Democats in the US Congress who voted against the authorization.

@td1234 @JamVet

OK, prof.

The US House of Representative votes still don't count in your version of reality...

td1234
td1234

@JamVet @td1234 Taking things out of context once again. I have already slapped you down several times for doing it but I guess it is your nature to be a liar.

The votes of the minority party is the US House mean absolutely nothing to legislative matters because that Chamber is solely based on majority rules.

If you cannot get this simple concept then you are either have a comprehension problem or are a complete idiot.

Which is it?

Not only did not attack us, but who had neither the capability or plans to attack us.
